DV Meeting

Hello Beautiful DV Team!

This is a notice to inform you all that there will be a DV team meeting on the morning of Saturday February 18th at 10:00 am.

If the time needs to be changed please reply and state the time that would be best for you to meet.

The meeting will be in Costa coffee in Raffle City. I unfortunately will not be able to attend as I have work.

Hello DV Team,

I spent all day yesterday and all morning until now working on the 3rd Draft of the DV Project. I made several changes and it's a bit easier to read. Also made changes in the phases and I hope we can discuss about it more during our meeting. I've assigned a few things for each member and topics that we should think about before seeing each other. Of course, it's to be discussed at the meeting. It would be really nice if all of you did your "homework", as the meeting would go much faster!

Confirm partnership with Agape. Questions to ask:
• Ask for a short intro of their organization.
• When will they start developing the training?
• How much would it cost for the training to be developed?
• How many cases of domestic violence do they treat in a year (to help us make previsions on how much we’d need for counselors’ salary).
• Do they have training for caregivers?

Lingbing
Confirm our partnership with Maple. Questions to ask:
• Can we have a specific line for victims of domestic violence?
• Are there any cost attached to a specific line?
• Can we send our own experienced counselors to answer phone calls and do face-to-face counseling?
• How do they respond to dv calls? They schedule a session, give them advice and emotional support on the phone… Do they refer them to doctors sometimes, or temporary shelters?
• How long and how much is a session with a counselor?
• How many victims of domestic violence do they take care of in average every year?

• Short description of the organization (their mission, what they do, how long they’ve been around,…)

Research on existing DV Awareness programs around the world.
Research different places where our PfH Counsellors could do their work.
